[ In celebration of World Wildlife Week 2021 ]
What is your relationship with wildlife in a city?
The Wild & Us Youth Wildlife Forum and 'Death by Man' exhibition by Jasvic Lye, invites the public to exchange thoughts and reflect on our relationship with wildlife in the city.
'Death by Man' is an art and photography series that unravels the interconnectedness of wild animals and city dwellers through evocative imagery and visual narratives.
The youth wildlife forum engages participants in a series of dialogues and talks by speakers from diverse walks of life, to showcase the significance of everyday efforts in advocating for co-existence with urban wildlife.
During their residency, artists Pamela and Jasvic explored the nature around Blue House.
While roaming the forest, they imagined how they could highlight the subtle beauty of nature found in most common places through evocative storytelling. They discovered that these common places are unexpectedly a rich source of sounds, odours and colours.
Through a series of experimentations with sound, photography, and found objects, the 2 artists came together and created an immersive experience through which they invite the audience to question the validity of man-made green spaces posing as “nature”.
